ADA removes data access fees
Tuesday 13 October 2015

The Australian Data Archive, part of the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods, has today announced the removal of all fees on access to its data collection of social scientific data, the largest of its kind in Australia.

Previously, free access was only available to users from Australian universities. Under the new arrangements, all registered users have free access to the Archive's social, Indigenous, historical, longitudinal, criminological, qualitative, and international data.

This move provides researchers across Australia and internationally with unprecedented access to some of Australia's longest standing and most comprehensive datasets, such as the Australian Election Study, historical Census data, Negotiating the Life Course, the Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth, Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health, Australian Longitudinal Survey of Ageing, and Longitudinal Survey of Immigrants to Australia.

Existing conditions remain for access to sensitive and identifiable data.

For more information please see www.ada.edu.au or contact the Archive at ada@anu.edu.au.
