The Australian Data Archive has made survey data from the most recent ANUpoll on national identity, and attitudes to immigration and the monarchy, available to researchers.
Measures include the importance of traits and behaviours to 'being Australian', pride in dimensions of Australian life, how closely respondents identify with their town, state and country, opinions on immigration policy and immigrants' contributions to Australian society, and attitudes towards the monarchy, flag and honours. Longitudinal measures in the dataset include satisfaction with the direction of the country, rank of first and second most important issues facing the country, and demographic measures such as age, gender, educational attainment, household income, religious attendance and household composition.
