  • Biography

Geoffrey has worn a number of hats throughout his career: software developer, lawyer, manager and now consultant.

For over a decade he has owned and managed a consultancy that forensically collects, preserves and analyses online and social media data for litigation purposes. Throughout this time, Geoffrey has witnessed first-hand how people can be manipulated and exploited by online actors with their own purposes in mind.

His research aims to assist those working to counter that manipulation in one particular regard: turning young men into misogynists and radicalising them towards violence. Geoffrey is taking a deep dive into the "Manosphere", a collection of online accounts that promote misogyny under the guise of "self-improvment" to make a man into an "alpha male".

Ultimately Geoffrey would like to see his research inform public policy and assist social media platforms address these issues before more young men go down this spiral of hate.
