Tayyaba Fazal is a research scholar at POLIS: The Centre for Social Policy Research. She is currently working on determining the impact of financial development on economic growth. Her work examines the intricate ways in which financial systems shape and influence the broader economic landscape. The particular attention is towards the role of financial instruments in fostering resilience and stability during economic shocks, offering critical insights for sustainable policy interventions. Alongside her research, she serves as a journal reviewer for the Asia Pacific Journal of Management (APJM) and the Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences (JEAS), contributing to academic discourse in her field.
She completed her Master's degree with high distinction, an achievement supported by the prestigious "Scotland Pakistan Scholarship for Young Women and Girls" from the British Council. Beyond her research, Tayyaba actively contributes to the student community as a Residential Mentor at ANU. Her leadership and commitment to personal development are further demonstrated through participation in prestigious fellowships, including the Aspire Leaders Program at Harvard University, the McKinsey Forward Program, the IFSPD Presidential Fellowship, and the U.S. Mission Pakistan's Young Women Leaders Program. Her commitment to social impact extends as a former Global Youth Ambassador for TheirWorld, UK, advocating for Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
