Weifan Jiang is a Data Archivist at the Australian Data Archive (ADA), where he is the responsible archivist for several nationally significant Australian cohort studies. His expertise spans developing comprehensive data management plans, data quality assurance, privacy risk analysis, de-identification, data harmonisation, and metadata standardisation. He designs and implements automated pipelines in R and web-based tools to streamline data processing, validation, and dissemination for both data providers and users.
Before joining the ADA, Weifan held research positions at CSIRO, applying statistical modelling and machine learning to meteorological data. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from ANU and is a certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) under the DAMA DMBOK, underpinning his strong capabilities in R, Python, data modelling and data management, with a focus on making research data well-structured, reproducible, and ready for long-term use.
His expertise includes data processing using R and Python, Shiny application development, data quality assurance, data management, and machine learning.
